NBL Elite Titles Up for Grabs at Grands

Well this is what it comes down to.  The 2005 NBL Pro champs will be crowned this weekend in Louisville.  Heres a rundown of the points standings. 

In Elite Men, after Staats Racing's Mike Day was unsuccessful in his appeal to get his Evansville win reinstated, GT's Randy Stumpfhauser sits atop the heap only one point ahead of Day - 162 points to Day's 161.  Day's teammate Robert DeWilde is within striking distance with 156 points while Crupi's Cristian Becerine sits in fourth with 141 points.  Haro's 2004 UCI World Champ Warwick Stevenson finishes off the top five with 136 points. 

In Elite Women, Redline's Kim Hayashi controls her own destiny with the points lead at 115.  Four points back is Supercross' Samantha Cools and Staats' Arielle Martin is in third with 99 points.  Free Agent's Alice Jung is in fourth with 97 points and Clayborn's Krystal Hime is in fifth with 93 points.

In Superclass, Answer's Danny Caluag is the man with a four point lead over Rev Tec's Derek Betcher, 134 to 130.  Kyle Weisenberger is in third with 116 points, Dan's Tim Sonner is in fourth with 93 points, Nelson Castellano is in fifth with 90 points, and look out for late charger Mike Lundy in sixth with 90 points.

Elite Masters looks like this.  Redline's "C Money"  Jason Carnes is leading with 92 points, Hyundai / Mongoose rider Eric Rupe is eight points behind in second tied with new Masters rider Dave Bittner at 84, Renato Silva is in fourth with 80 points, and Geof Ssengoba sits in fifth with 78 points.

Finally, Elite Cruisers shape up like this.  Stumpy leads this one too along with Donny Robinson tied at 92 points each.  Answer Supercross rider, Jarrett Kolich is in third with 80 points, Jason Rogers brings up fourth with 78 points, while Jason Carnes is in fifth with 72 points.
