BMX Loses Colin Winkelman
By Will Rells
The BMX community is at a loss of words today as BMX freestyle legend Colin Winkelman has was found dead at his home in Greenville, North Carolina.  Details are sketchy, but the longtime DK pro rider apparently took his life sometime yesterday.  Colin was known for his aggressive, fearless riding style and is in the Guiness Book of World Records for the longest BMX jump on a 20" bike at over 116 feet and thirteen SUV's. He was also the first rider to ever win an ESPN street contest. In 1996, Colin won the Destination Xtreme amateur street contest at South Padre Island, Texas, and turned pro the very next day.  Expect more info as this story develops.
