NBL California is on the move again.  We are proud to announce that Monster BMX, from Taft California, has joined the National Bicycle League boosting the NBL’s presence in the Golden State to 10 tracks strong.  Michael Brown, Monster’s track operator, is excited to start the program after a year’s grace adding, “The NBL programs are excellent and what really sets them apart is the friendly atmosphere they have created for their tracks and members. We’re looking forward to a great season with our new family – thanks NBL!”

Dale Bowers, track operator of the nearby Santa Barbara track, helped rebuild the track in preparation for their ‘Open House’ March 4, followed by their season opener on March 5. The club will also play host to the first event in the Western Regional Series from April 7-9.  A 200-foot rhythm section dubbed ‘the Graveyard’ highlights an 1100ft course that has just received some last minute fine tuning in preparation for the weekend.

Taft, located in the foothills of the San Joaquin Valley, is only two hours North of Los Angeles and half that from Santa Barbara BMX who will provide the closest regional competition.  “The California tracks were very active at this year’s Competition Congress and their hard work is paying off.  With Madera and Prunedale both hosting National events, Taft riders will have a chance to race against some of the top riders in the country”, adds Kevin O’Brien, NBL’s Marketing Director.  Click yourself over to www.monsterbmx.com and check out their schedule, find directions to the track, and listen to their track’s famous anthem.  Welcome to the NBL.
