Brandon Meadows was able to narrowly avoid this possible catastrophe in practice on Monday when a rider took the amateur section turn during pro practice. However, he was not able to avoid a pileup in the first turn on Thursday causing a major injury to Brandon's titanium rod supported leg. Brandon required surgery for the injury and needless to say could use some help during the recovery period.
There are a couple ways I've found to help Brandon out:
On VintageBMX.com I found an address to Tangent to send a help check. The check you are sending will be made out to "Brandon Meadows". Tangent will collect and forward the checks to Brandon. Here's the address:

So, it's very easy to help out a person who is unquestionably one of the nicest and most entertaining professional BMX riders we have. And a couple X-Games wins ain't too shabby either!

Update: I just checked over at News and found that their original goal of $1000 for Brandon has TRIPLED! And, I'm sure that will be surpassed soon.
As I found out when going through Chemo, it's great to see the BMX community helping out someone in need.
