Here's what Bradford had to say:
"Hey Will - I am still in Japan right now and we are leaving for home tomorrow. The first day of racing was awesome, I won my class (15-16), Masa (Sampei) got second, Ben Davis from Australia got third, Dirk Winter from Aus got fourth, and another guy from aussie got fifth. Robert DeWilde won Elite, Jason Richardson got second, John Purse got third, Nate Berkheimer got fourth, Cristian Becerine fifth, Greg Romero sixth, Tyler Brown seventh, then a Japanese rider named Sakamoto got last. I'll catch ya in Vegas next week. - Joey B."
UCI Pan Pacific Continental BMX Championships Results
1. Robert DeWilde 2. Jason Richardson 3. John Purse 4. Nate Berkheimer 5. Cristian Becerine 6. Greg Romero 7. Tyler Brown 8. Akimfumi Sakamoto
That's two in a row for Dewilde, who just recently grabbed the victory at the UCI Supercross race at the Dew Tour in San Jose two weeks ago which gave him the overall UCI World Cup title.
Look out for BMX as it makes itself more international due to the Olympic hype that, although may not yet be noticed here in the States, is definitely evident abroad.
